The EBA sets priorities for 2027
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published its 2027 Work Programme, setting out its priorities for the year ahead, including a number of areas relevant to the consumer credit sector.
The programme includes work on the implementation of the revised Consumer Credit Directive (CCD2), with a particular focus on creditworthiness assessment, which forms part of the EBA’s broader work on consumer protection.
The EBA will also continue its work on the implementation of the EU AI Act in financial services, including efforts to support a consistent interaction between the AI Act and existing sectoral requirements.
Eurofinas and its members will continue to engage with the EBA’s work in these areas and contribute the sector’s expertise to the implementation of the new regulatory framework.
